Who do you want to be?

That’s right…Who do you want to be? Are you being that person? Often when we are feeling dissatisfied with how we are existing in our day to day lives, the conflict underlying our feeling of lack is that there is a disconnect between who we are at our core and who we are “being” to the world. Or in some cases, we have forgotten who we are and have become a version of who we think we should be.

This state of ‘being’ is an expression of our energy, personality, intention, history, karma, soul contracts, emotions, beliefs, thoughts and actions. Ideally we are fully aware of who we are presenting ourselves to the world as…and we are ok with that. Yet often there is either an unconscious existence or an inner realisation that we are not fulfilling the state of being which brings us ultimate satisfaction. And instead this brings us grief.

So how do we re-discover who we want to BE and is it too late to change?

“ Today you are YOU! That is truer than TRUE! There is no-one alive that is you-er than YOU!” – Dr. Seuss

First, lets start with some self love and acceptance. You are who you are. Hooray for that! You were born into this world a pure little being. Next time you see a baby, take note of their expression of joy, wonder and innocence. That is you….that state of being never left you! Wouldn’t you love to find it again?

Secondly, are you gutsy enough to challenge your status quo and shake up your definition of you…despite what you believe you have always been told about who you need to be? What are your core values? What is important to you in the way we relate to each other as human beings? In which environment do you feel most at peace? What ignites the spark of excitement and passion within you? What activities bring you joy? How do you love to be recognised? What makes you smile? All these considerations impact upon our “being”.

Thirdly, YES…You have CHOICE! It is never too late to reassess, reaffirm and re-evaluate. We are all a work in progress. What will it cost you if you don’t?

Let’s start with your MISSION Statement…your Reason for Being. Do you have one? Its a great place to start.
